An afternoon with Julia and Tori

Once a child starts moving, you can forget about getting perfectly posed pictures. For this reason, lifestyle photography was born. When I started thinking about becoming a photographer my main goal was newborns. Once I was introduced to lifestyle photography I fell in love instantly. This popular form of photography captures true smiles, true personalities and memories of a fun photo shoot. It's everything I want to remember when I look back at pictures of my family. Sure, posed shots can be great but they usually scream "I am forced to sit here, I am forced to smile". Real expressions is where it's at!

Meet Julia and Tori. These girls are sisters and they are complete opposites. Julia is more sensitive and eager to please while Tori is a "I'll do what I wanna do" kind of gal. I love both personalities. One thing these sisters have in common is they ooze sweetness and innocence.

Julia and Tori's session was short and sweet. They were preparing for a picnic. In the short time we had, I captured some beautiful moments. I had a few ideas going into it and Julia certainly was open to trying them. She even had some ideas of her own... which I love. My goal as a photographer is to capture not only what I think will be a wonderful shot but what my clients think would be wonderful as well.
